The Umpqua Bank Challenge announced today that PGA TOUR pro’s Robert Garrigus and Boo Weekley will join the 2012 main field.
A former resident of Gresham, Ore., Garrigus is on his way to a great 2012 season, with two second place finishes and $1.2 million in earning. With an average drive of 309 yards, Garrigus is currently second in driving distance on TOUR.
Weekley is enjoying a solid year as well, with two top-10 finishes this season. Known for his camouflage/outdoor ensembles and easy-going attitude, Weekley continues to be a crowd favorite.
Garrigus and Weekley will join Tournament Host Peter Jacobsen, Oregon-born PGA TOUR star Ben Crane, 2011 FedExCup Champion Bill Haas and his father TOUR veteran Jay Haas, 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open winner Kyle Stanley and 2011 co-champs Scott McCarron and Steve Elkington at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club August 26-28.
The remaining field players will be announced in the coming weeks.
