PJS was recently hired to manage a new event (to us) for Lexus, called the Lexus Blue-Gray Championship.  This was a Ryder Cup format, team competition pitting 16 representatives from Lexus Eastern Area Dealerships (Blue) vs. counterparts from the Lexus Southern Area (Gray).  The event was held September 24 – 26 at the picturesque Sebonack Golf Club on Long Island, the same week as the prestigious Ryder Cup in Chicago.  The PJS team (including myself, Greg, and Steve) had a lot of fun making this a memorable and first-class event for our clients at Lexus.

Completing the PJS team effort, Peter Jacobsen himself made a command performance on Monday of the event, before heading out to his NBC broadcast duties at the aforementioned “other” Ryder Cup. Peter was on-hand all day Monday during the practice round at nearby Atlantic Golf Club, and participated in the Monday evening dinner and “under the lights” putting competition. He even filmed a few interviews with Go.TV for the competitions’ nightly features.

Jamie Sadlowski was on-hand Tuesday and Wednesday of the event.  Jamie’s Tuesday morning clinic, on-course “beat the pro” competition, and long drive displays as each group played the 18^th hole, were very well received.

A few times throughout the two-day championship Jamie was able to astound us all by reaching the large tree on the right of the 18^th fairway -  roughly 430 yards from the tee box (FYI – the 18^th tee box is at the top of the hill in the background, to the right of the large tree in the foreground). With his amazing gift of distance and accuracy, we wish him well as he competes in the upcoming RE/MAX World Long Drive Championships.

Congratulations to the victorious Gray team for pulling out the win! We hope the entire field as much fun as the entire PJS crew had in planning and executing the 2012 Lexus Blue-Gray Championship and we are looking forward to next year!
