The 2013 golf season has started and PJS is in full swing already. I have recently transitioned into a new role under Client Services and am working on the Ketel One/Diageo and Nolet Spirits accounts.
This past week, Cameron Colyer and I attended the Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club to support both Ketel One and NOLET’S Silver. We could not have asked for a better crowd or more perfect weather.
Each brand was activating at what we call a Tier B sponsorship. Ketel One had a walk-up Club Ketel One on the par-3 14th hole. It was a great location with heavy traffic and a fun hole for patrons to enjoy a Ketel One Citroen Tee Time.
NOLET’S Silver Lounge was positioned inside The Grove, an open-to-the-public venue just across from Club Ketel One. Chance Nace, with Nolet Spirits, set up a sampling station right next to their bar. Sampling is a great marketing tactic for a brand such as NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin.
I love seeing the reaction when a vodka-drinker sips in hesitation and their face lights up with excitement. “The New Face of Gin” – NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin is a floral and fruit floraled gin with more of a modern take. I know they definitely converted a few vodka-drinkers to gin-lovers at this year’s Northern Trust Open!
