Along with his good friend Jack Sheehan, Peter has co-authored two humor-based, golf-themed books about his life on TOUR.

Music

 

A life-long music fan, Peter taught himself to play the guitar while growing up in Portland, Oregon. Peter has also enjoyed getting up on stage and jamming with some greats like Glenn Frey, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, Vince Gill, Alice Cooper, Edwin McCain, Hootie & the Blowfish, Huey Lewis and the News and REO Speedwagon. Some of Peter’s all-time favorite bands include The Beatles, Jethro Tull, The Eagles, Huey Lewis and the News and Bruce Hornsby. His current favorites include Edwin McCain, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Maroon 5, Micky and The Motorcars, Reckless Kelly and Wade Bowen. 
Jake Trout and the Ball Washers – Cheers & Boos (2013)

 

In 2013 Peter joined forces with four brothers from the country music world – Willy and Cody Braun from Reckless Kelly and Micky and Gary Braun from Micky and The Motorcars – to record the original song Cheers & Boos, about the infamous 16th green at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The music video aired on February 2, 2013 as a Jake’s Takes segment on NBC Sports.
Amy Biery – Learning to Walk (2008)

 

In 2008 Peter worked with independent singer-songwriter Amy Biery, and was the executive producer for her album Learning To Walk.

In the mid-80s, Peter formed Jake Trout and the Flounders along with Mark Lye and Payne Stewart. Writing humorous golf-related lyrics to popular songs, the band was a hit on the golf circuit!

 

Movies

 

Peter has portrayed himself twice on the silver screen, both times in movies with a golf-based plot.
